What are Pneumatic Valves?

A pneumatic valve (also known as a directional control valve) is a device that directs or prevents the flow of a fluid (either water or compressed air) within a pneumatic system.

What is the Purpose of a Pneumatic Valve?

A pneumatic valve plays an important role in determining how much air passes through a system and in which direction. This means they can be used as both control valves and as safety valves, shutting off the fluid flow in dangerous situations or depressurising the system.

Types of Pneumatic Valves
